Resha K. Washington has served on the NCAEYC Board of Directors since October of 2012. Her role on the board is Vice President of Membership & Local Support. She has served on both the Governance and Membership Committees.
Resha worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for the past 17 years in varying capacities, but she says her favorite position has to be in the classroom as a teacher. She is currently a Program Quality Specialist working with Early Childhood programs in varying counties to enhance standards and procedures while providing professional development opportunities to both administrators and teachers. Resha has always had a passion for the field of Early Childhood and has thoroughly enjoy all aspects of it from advocating for children and families during Public Policy forums to experiencing the accomplishments of children reaching developmental milestones in the classroom setting.
Resha finds it extremely rewarding to be a part of a profession that is continuously evolving to meet the needs of all children, families and educators. She lives in Charlotte with her two wonderful children.
