Mental Health First Aid Training

NCAEYC is offering statewide opportunities for early educators to become certified in Mental Health First Aid (download PDF flyer), the initial help offered to a person developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. This first aid is given until appropriate treatment and support are received or until the crisis resolves. Early childhood educators have an important role in being prepared to serve as a first responder to mental health and well-being issues in the lives of children and adults.
