Adam joined the board in Fall 2017 as the East Central Region Representative and serves on the Resource and Fund Development committee. He is currently a Research Scientist at the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His projects include work on the North Carolina Early Learning Network, the Abecedarian Approach, and the FirstSchool PreK-3 Initiative. Past experience in education includes teaching kindergarten and preschool. Adam is particularly interested in children’s motivation and engagement and improving the early childhood and early school experiences of children from underserved populations. In his spare time, he enjoys falling asleep on the couch and reading all the things.
