Verena has served in various positions at the Onslow County Partnership for Children to include Quality Specialist and Compliance Specialist. Verena is currently the Early Head Start Director of the Onslow County Partnership for Children.
What brings her the most joy about her work are: (1) seeing staff develop as leaders; (2) seeing families move from poverty to self-sufficiency; (3) partnering with families to assist them in preparing young children to succeed in school and life. Verena’s passion for young children compels her to volunteer in different organizations within the community. One of her favorite quotes is “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way” by John C. Maxwell.
