We are seeking a dedicated, passionate Preschool Center Director / Site Supervisor to lead
our early childhood centers, support early educators, and champion positive child and family
outcomes in our community. This position involves management of operations in WNCSource
classrooms in five of the Henderson County Elementary Schools, and our stand alone centers
when needed.

Key Responsibilities

As the Center Director, you will oversee the full operational, pedagogical, and compliance
functions of the center:

● Program Leadership: Implement program policies to deliver high-quality early learning
aligned with Head Start Performance Standards, NC Pre-K guidelines, and NC DCDEE
regulations.
● Operations & Compliance: Ensure full operational management and compliance for
Early Head Start, Head Start, NC Pre-K, DSS Subsidy, and the CACFP Food Program.
● Curriculum & Mentorship: Support classroom staff in implementing The Creative
Curriculum to fidelity and foster continuous professional development.
● Staffing & Onboarding: Lead site-level interviews, hiring, and comprehensive
onboarding for new team members.
● Behavioral & Classroom Support: Serve as a core member of the site team
responding to classroom behavioral needs using CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention
strategies and CLASS/MMCI frameworks.
● Family & Community Advocacy: Engage families positively, build community trust, and
actively advocate for the needs of your site’s children, staff, and families.
● Quality & Safety: Maintain a safe, healthy environment by recognizing hazards and
ensuring workplace safety standards. Utilize ChildPlus for data management and
monitoring.

Qualifications & Requirements
● Education: Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, or a
closely related field. (Degrees must be from an accredited institution recognized by NC
DCDEE).
● Credential: Active NC Child Care Administrator Credential, Level III (Required).
● Experience: Minimum of 3 years administering/directing an NC-licensed 5-star child
care facility or program.
● Preferred Experience: Direct experience managing Early Head Start, Head Start, or NC
Pre-K programs.
