Job description: Lakewood Avenue Children’s School, a NAEYC accredited, 5-star program in Durham is seeking a full time co-lead teacher to start this summer. Our unique approach to early childhood education is play-based, and inspired by the child-led, emergent, project-based infant/toddler centers and preschools of Reggio Emilia, Italy. Job qualifications: Our ideal candidate holds a minimum BA/BS in Child Development, or a BA/BS in a related field with coursework in child development/early childhood education and experience working with young children. We are looking for teachers who are flexible, adaptable, and excited to be co-researchers with children. Experience with or desire to work in a progressive, play-based, Reggio-inspired setting is essential. Candidates should also be excited to work collaboratively as a teaching partner and as part of a small, connected staff.

Current CBC letter and NC Early Childhood Credential required.
