CHCP is accepting applications for a full-time Infant Lead Teacher and two full-time 3-5’s Preschool Lead Teachers. Work hours will be Monday-Friday 8:30-5:30 with a one-hour break.

What we’re looking for:

• BA/BS/AAS degree in ECE/CD or related field preferred
• CPR Certification (preferred)
• Two years’ experience in a licensed childcare center
• History of strong written and verbal communication skills
• Vaccinated against COVID-19
• Work hours 8:30-5:30 with a one-hour break

Lead Teacher responsibilities:

• Plan and execute creative age-appropriate, educational activities for children in your care, covering all areas of child development
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children
• Collaborate as you work closely with the team of preschool teachers
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide high quality care for the children
• Organize and maintain classroom activity areas, materials, and supplies
• Keep up to date with in-service training and certifications as required

Organized as a parent cooperative in 1960, Chapel Hill Cooperative Preschool (CHCP) is a 5 Star, NAEYC Accredited Center. We offer year-round care for children 6 weeks through 5 years of age. CHCP teachers work cooperatively with parents and families of children from diverse backgrounds to respect and honor childhood, celebrate independence, and support children as they learn and grow through play.
