This is Lisa Eads’ first term on the NCaeyc board. Her primary role is to represent the North West Region of the state. She serves as a member on the Professional Development Committee.
Currently, Lisa works for the North Carolina Community College System Office as the Program Coordinator of Early Childhood Education, Public Service Technologies, and Career & College Promise. Additionally, She teaches part-time online in the Human Development and Family Studies Department at UNC-Greensboro. Lisa has 19 years experience in the field of early childhood and her past work experience includes: Private child care lead teacher, Smart Start/Surry County Early Childhood Partnership – Child Development Specialist, Stokes County Schools PreK Coordinator & Even Start Family Literacy Program Director, More at Four Coordinator for Surry County, NCPreK Consultant in Forsyth County, Director/Lead Instructor of Early Childhood Education at Surry Community College, Academic Professional Instructor and Online Student Advisor in Human Development and Family Studies at UNC-Greensboro, private consultant/technical assistant in early childhood education, and additional adjunct work for several community colleges in North Carolina.
Her main area of interest in the field of early childhood education is education and compensation for early childhood teaching staff. She is also interested in increasing opportunities for quality care for young children in our state. Lisa is a native of Surry County and currently lives in Stokes County.
