North Carolina Association for the Education of Young Children

Featured Presenters and Sessions

Featured Presenter Michael Bonner

We are delighted to have Michael Bonner back as a featured presenter this year. He is an inspiring second grade teacher at South Greenville Elementary. In early 2017, Mr. Bonner was honored by Ellen DeGeneres in recognition of his positive and innovative educational approaches for children coping with the challenges of poverty. With only four years in K-12 education, Mr. Bonner is consistently seen as a visionary leader who strives to create a positive mindset among all of his students. He is a fellow teacher who understands feeling underappreciated, overworked, underpaid as well as the burden of wanting the best for students who can not recognize it for themselves. He will encourage your “formidable heart and ability to give children an unforgettable experience in your classroom every single day. And at the end of the day, that is all that matters.”
